Creative Workshop (from the Artist's Way by Julia Cameron on Amazon.com)
Task: Assemble ten image-filled magazines, a large sheet of poster board, gluesticks, and magic markers. Take a half hour to pull images that speak to you of the life you wish to have. Use another half an hour, or longer, to collage that life.  Grant your collage a place of honor where you will see it daily.

--Sort of a visual affirmation. Your choice of magazines can be important. You can also go to the thrift store and find some magazines, or Ebay. Print out some pictures from the web. No limits. Have fun!

Creative Workshop (from the Artist's Way by Julia Cameron)
Task: Long range goals are met by short term actions. A novel is written a page at a time. A painting is made a stroke at a time. A degree is attained a class at a time. The simple practice of doing "the next right thing" helps us step from the life we have into the life we want.  Rather than concerning ourselves with the large and unansweable questions, we can better ask, "What next?" and simply do that. What is next for you spiritually, intellectually, physically, artistically and personally?  Take a positive action in each of these spheres.

When you are blocked...
"Some people squander our time, Some people squander our energy. Blocked creatives are often booster rocket's for other people's lives...there are people whose very presence is so draining that a few minutes with them can leave us exhausted. Conversely, there are people so energizing thst time spent with them leaves us invigorated and inspired."

In addition to being aware of who is which in your life, ask yourself who you are to yourself. Are you being your own energy vampire or your own energy booster?  Often we know what we can do to energize our creative being, we just talk ourselves out of it. Sometimes we need rest, or some new ideas to inspire us. -Chris
